Myhre Slough
The Winnebago County Conservation Board operates and maintains county parks, hunting areas, and nature trails. Some of these include:

Dahle Park
  • 4 miles S.E. of Scarville
  • 7 acres for picnicking, electric camping, canoe access to Winnebago River, water pump, pit toilet, shelter house, fishing
Hogsback Wildlife Area
  • 3 miles North of Lake Mills on A-16
  • 154 acres of bluffs, marshlands, oak forest, woodland wildflowers and native grasses. Area offers hunting, fishing, photo opportunities
Linden Township Cemetery
  • 4 miles South of Thompson on R-34
  • 130 year old prairie. Cemetery was in use until 1890's.
Thorpe Park
  • 5 miles West of Forest City
  • 160 acre park including camping, restrooms, shelter house, picnicking, skiing, hunting, horseback riding, playground, canoeing, fishing, boating access, and 3 miles of hiking trails

Kuennens
The Worth County Conservation Board operates and maintains county parks, hunting areas, and nature trails. Some of these include:

Kuennen's Quarry
  • 1 mile South & 1/2 mile East of Northwood
  • Offers fishing, enclosed shelter house, restrooms, picnicking, playground, and barbecue pit
Ochee Yahola Park
  • 6 miles N.W. of Northwood off S-34
  • Features camping, picnicking, horseshoe pits, hiking trail and cross country skiing
  • Opens for hunting November 1
Silver Lake Park
  • 11 miles West, 4 miles North, and 1 mile West of Northwood off S-22
  • Includes fishing, boating access, picnicking, horseshoe pits, and camping
Worth County Lake
  • 4 miles N.E. of Kensett
  • Includes picnicking, sand pit fishing, playground, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball court, barbecue pit, shelter house and backyard wildlife display
